Just for Men is a hair coloring product intended for and marketed to men and manufactured by Combe Incorporated. The product is designed to color gray hair, with additional product lines for coloring gray hair in beards, sideburns and mustaches. The company traditionally sold their products in retail stores but has built a growing audience online. To capitalize on this opportunity, Just For Men needed an orderly and convenient online interface to ship directly to consumers via eCommerce and subscriptions.
Using the latest Magento software, Just For Men launched a fresh website in 2016. ExpandLab was tasked with ensuring the website represented the critical component of the company’s digital strategy: enhance the shopping experience for consumers. In addition, the team also needed to build a state-of-the-art subscription service option for consumers.
It’s clear when you visit Just For Men’s website that it has the modern, cutting-edge feel that consumers expect when they shop online. Among the myriad of new features on the new website, consumers can now live chat with company experts from a computer, tablet or smartphone. Additionally, the subscription service allows consumers to choose from a number of different color options of hair, with flexible delivery options ranging from every week to every 30 weeks depending on consumer preference. ExpandLab also added a product selector feature, which takes customers through a simple questionnaire so they can discover which product best fits their needs.
The subscription service has already been hugely successful, with consumers getting the hair products they know and want directly, conveniently and regularly delivered to their doorsteps. By alleviating these pain points, ExpandLab and Just For Men created a modern and mutually beneficial experience for the brand’s customers.
